Bring the Noise! barrier

Noise Barrier

by the same guy as Pamphlet #26: 13 projects for the sheridan expressway.
nice simple graphics, and clear communication, indicating cross-functionalities and nascent capacities.

  1. From another project of theirs called "Big Re-Rig":

Rather than replacing a problematic geography with another hard surface, the Big Re-Rig makes use of existing features and potentials of the site in an urbanism of adaptive re-use. Atop the McGrath Highway viaduct, the roadbed has been replaced by a 3.1 acre sculpture park and wind farm forming the spine of a POWER PARK that spreads east across the site in a series of bridges and roof gardens 1 to 2 stories above ground. At ground level, a network of brick-paved shopping streets forms the commercial heart of Brickbottom, a network of pedestrian galleries and outdoor markets that spreads through the site.
